We're True Shepherd Foundation

Founded by Antony and Marietta Duclos

Antony and Marietta Duclos served as leaders of a Haitian-Creole Church in San Diego for several years, with Antony serving as the Pastor. In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, they made it their mission to assist Haitians who migrated to San Diego in finding housing and jobs. However, they soon realized that the only way to truly help Haitians was to tackle the root causes of poverty in their home country.

In 2016, Antony stepped down as the Pastor and he and Marietta moved back to Haiti to become full-time missionaries. With the generous support of many individuals, they were able to establish churches, construct cisterns for clean water, build medical clinics and schools, provide housing, support local businesses, and evangelize. They even visited local prisons to provide hope and encouragement to those who were incarcerated.

Although they returned to the United States in 2021, they recognized that there was still much work to be done in Haiti. As a result, they established the True Shepherd Foundation with a new board and renewed vision. The foundation's mission is to empower the Haitian people to become self-sufficient through education, healthcare, and agriculture. They collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to provide more resources and programs that enable the people of Haiti to become self-sustainable and eventually break the cycle of poverty.

Tragically, Antony Duclos passed away on November 28th, 2022. However, his legacy lives on through the True Shepherd Foundation and its commitment to empowering the people in need.
